If you’re heading north to Chiang Mai then make sure you check out Wat Chiedi Luang to see the 600 year old temple surrounded by carved elephants. This temple is absolutely free to visit as is Wat Chiang Man and Wat Phra Singh temples, some of the most important temples in the area.

3. Learn the Language

The island of Koh Tao is one of the cheapest and best dive destinations in the world, why not consider giving it a try! There are course for totally beginners, and also more advanced options for people looking to start careers in the dive industry.

9. Cookery Course

Thai food is among the best in the world and why not learn some tips from the locals. You can book cookery classes throughout Thailand and get the lowdown on how to make some of the tastiest local cuisine. Chiang Mai in the north of the country is a popular city to take a class.

10. Tuk Tuk Ride

Tuk Tuk are like Thai taxis and are available to get all over Thailand. Tuk Tusk are extremely cheap to ride in and they are a great way to get around, see the sites, have some fun and experience the thrills of a super fast road trip especially in cities like Bangkok.
